We have pleasure of inviting your Company to participate in the Exhibition, which will be organized within the framework of the "Polar Research - Arctic and Antarctic Perspectives in the International Polar Year" conference. (July 07-11, 2008, St.Petersburg, Park Inn Pribaltiyskaya Hotel)

The organizers of the Conference are the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR) of the International Council for Science (ICSU), International Arctic Science Committee (IASC), World Meteorological Organisation (WMO). Federal Service for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring (Roshydromet) is also one of the organizers of the Conference and takes part in preparation work together with the Russian Academy os Science and other institutions. 

About 1500 scientists from more than 50 countries representing more than 300 organizations are expected to take part in the Conference.
The Russian Organizing Committee is headed by Academician Vladimir Kotlyakov and Alexander Frolov, Deputy Head of the Roshydromet. 

St. Petersburg was selected to host the Conference as it is one of the leading centres of polar sciences. Many Arctic and Antarctic researchers work in St.Petersburg and a number institutions dealing with polar research are found here. The basic institution for the Conference is Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute of Roshydromet ( http://www.aari.nw.ru ).

The International Polar Year (IPY) which started in March 2007 and will go on till March 2009 is going to attract a wide number of participants for the Conference. The IPY research deals with the issues related to both polar regions. As a result, the Conference was titled “Polar Research - Arctic and Antarctic Perspectives in the International Polar Year”.

The program of the Open Scientific Conference will consist of 36 sessions organized in order to embrace the following topics:
(1) Status and Change, 
(2) Polar/Global Linkages, 
(3) A Sense of Discovery, 
(4) The Poles as a Vantage Point for Observations,
(5) Peoples and Resources at the Poles.

The Internationsl Conference "Polar Research - Arctic and Antarctic Perspectives in the International Polar Year" posesses a unique commercial and communication potential. The international audience of the conference will represented by the scientific organizations which develop modern approaches brought about by the evolution of human civilization in the 21st century. TERMS of EXPO PARTICIPATION

Cost of the standard stand area – from 9500 RUR per 1 sq. meter (without logo and signs), minimum stand area 4 sq.meters.

Standard stands: 4 - 10 sq. meters, including stand area, stand walls along the perimeter, frieze panel, table and two chairs, carpet floor, dustbin. Inscription on frieze 80 RUR per sign. Cost of logo reproduction from 1500 RUR depending on the design and color scheme (should be agreed separately). 

Extra equipment is available upon request according to the price list below. Cost is given in RUR. 

The advertisement positioning in the congress printed materials and other advertisement materials to be put in the participant kit are possible upon a separate request (payment terms are discussed separately).
